In-home newborn session

I love it when I have been able to meet my couple before their newborn session, and I was humbled to be able to photograph Rochelle and Matt's maternity session. I feel it is so fulfilling when I get to meet a couple, and I am able to get to know a little more about them and hear more about their story and journey. I walk away from these sessions feeling like my heart is full and I have brought purpose to them, gifting them with a moment that is frozen,

As I arrived at their home, they both welcomed me warmly, offering me something to drink as we casually had a little catch up on their current new newborn life. As always, I found myself a little spot close to the window light, slightly moving some furniture pieces. The house was warm and cosy and I didn't even have to use my little heater which I always take with me.

I naturally positioned Mackenzie on my beanbag and she was an absolute dream!! We then finished off with a few family photos and also included a few more lifestyle images of the whole little family being snug together on the bed.
